Why I don’t Like super heroines books

What I like comic books and I don’t like girls with super powers?

Nope that is not what I am saying, you see what bothers me is the way most of them are portrayed. We all know and love Wonder Woman, and no matter how wonderful some of her stories are what actually gets to me is the inconsistency in particular the way she is drawn in other books other than her own.

It appears that for everything right the editors at DC or is it the creative team try to do for the character there comes someone in the other end of the company and have to fulfill their fan dreams and draw the character like this:

Mind you I don’t care that she is drawn sexy or anything but c’mon a girl would never be fighting crime wearing something like that, it would just not be comfortable and don’t get me started with Power Girl…. Really I don’t mind that they are dressed sexy at all is just that I just don’s see a girl walking around like that. A friend recommended Spider-Girl because he says they get girls, not sure about it but I just got the first trade today, I’ll Let you know what I think.

While I agree with your observation, comics generally are geared towards boys/men. When it comes to WW, what gets me is when they are drawn as uber sexpots. WW should be somewhat of a goddess, but she should be athletic and intimidating. Sometimes they make her look like a runway model.

Batwoman was a good example of a practical costume as well as Batgirl. Huntress before she got her BoP costume was acceptable. So for every sexy heroine, there are the bad ass chicks too.

Spider-Girl is an excellent read. I'd bet the farm you'd like it.

Ms. Marvel isn't too bad. You should check her comic out!

WW should definately look a lot stronger, and more buff, than she usually looks, IMO too. There was one JLA book within the last year or two, showing the latter-years of WW and Batman if they had become an item, and she was shown with very large muscles; whereas usually she has a thin "model-like" form in other DC stories.
